If you happen to be observant in the slightlest you will quickly notice that some of the movies are not traditionally considered to be science fiction. We have left them on this list because we believe that in addition to being good films they have a lot to teach writers about the craft of story telling.

You will also notice several of your favorite films not included on this list. That is either because we think the films are hack jobs or we just haven't gotten around to including them.
