In his glorious life Mr. A F M Sarwar Kamal attended many international seminars and meetings. From 4-9 July, 1986 he attended general meeting of the Islamic States Broadcasting Union held in Jeddah. He participated in Commonwealth Senior Officials meeting held in Dhaka from 3-5 December 1986.

Mr. A F M Sarwar Kamal acts as the Chairman  of Investors' Forum, organized by the Ministry of Jute.

He was present in IDB Seminar on Strengthening of Focal Points of Technical Co-operation held in Karachi from 21-26 November 1993. He took part in OIC meeting of the Focal Points of Technical Co-operation held in Istanbul from 25-29 May, 1994. Mr. Kamal also attended International Conference on “Administrative and Financial Accountability in Public Service” held in Dhaka from 6-8 December 1993 organized by Asia Pacific Development Center (APDC), Kuala Lumpur. He attended the EnvironmentalCongress for Committee on Parties (COP 3) held in Kyoto, Japan as member of Bangladesh delegation in 1997 and G-8 Foreign Ministers Conference in Miyazaki, Japan in 1998 as member of Bangladesh delegation. Besides these he also participated in many otherConferences, Seminars, Workshops in Japan arranged by Asian Development Bank, World Bank, International Finance Corporation, UN Statistical Institute of Asia & the Pacific, UN University, UNICEF, FAO and UNESCO during 1995-2001.
