Mr. A F M Sarwar Kamal was born on 6th January 1948 in Chittagong. The name of his father is Mr. M A Wahhab who was a civil service officer during the British period. His mother was late Asia Khatun. Mr Kamal started his education in Ramchandra under the Comilla district. He had to study in different schools for his father’s posting.

He completed S.S.C. from Noakhali diatrict and H.S.C. from Chittagong Commerce College. He also completed his graduation with honors from the same college and obtained his masters degree from Chittagong University. Mr. Kamal started his career as a teacher. In his magnificent career he held many important positions. Now he is the Secretary of Ministry of Industries, Bangladesh govt. His wife is Mrs. Rashni Kamal, a housewife. They have two children. Their son Raihan Kamal is studying electrical engineering in USA and the daughter Ridma Kamal is in O’ level of Scholastica School.
